We have a long experience in scallop farming. Since 1997, we have had a partnership in Peru, where we produce roe on scallops that we distribute in Europe, but also roe off ones, mainly for the USA.
We also import scallops from USA, the Philippines, Japan and, in the past, Russia.
Our scallop customers are not limited to the GMS, and we also work extensively with ready-made meal processors with our “bay scallops”.
For the past 2 years, we have specialized in French scallops, whose Latin name is “Pecten Maximus”. They are caught from Dieppe to Saint-Brieuc in FAO zone 27 VII. The fishing season is from October to mid-May. They are roe off from October to mid-March, then roe on from mid-March to mid-May.
We have a direct supply agreement with the fishermen’s organization in Normandy, which guarantees us large volume and quality product.
We process the scallops in an IFS-certified factory, where they are hand schucked, cleaned, frozen and packed.
We are able to offer scallops in different types:
whole in the shell (4-6 and 5-7 pieces/kilo)
in half shells (10-14 pieces/kilo)
scallop meat (10-20 lb and 20-30 lb)
